Specializing In Implementing Field Projects Requiring Environmental Investigations & Solutions
About Horsetooth Environmental
Jim Perlow founded Horsetooth Environmental to address the challenging variability in staffing needs for short and long-term field projects common to environmental consulting firms. His 20 years of experience running complex environmental site investigations and remediation projects provides the background and qualifications necessary to lead or support projects. This ability allows consulting firms to avoid hiring long-term employees for one-off projects or temporary needs. Horsetooth Environmental also has access to many specialized professionals who can form a team to provide complete project execution from initial site investigation to the final remedial solution.
Background
Jim Perlow is an experienced dual-licensed technical specialist focused on environmental design and strategies. Jim’s early career focused on field investigations and remedial designs which provided the desire to pursue an advanced degree in engineering and eventually a professional engineering license. For the past 10 years, his work has been focused on environmental engineering and consulting for the water/wastewater markets. For the past 5 years, Jim has been instrumental in the development and implementation of PFAS treatment systems in the US and Australia. During this time, he was the in-country team lead responsible for the development of an Australian business unit and program management, construction and operations. Upon returning to the United States and prior to forming Horsetooth Environmental, Jim’s focus has been on evaluation of PFAS impacted sites and working with clients to develop and implement water/wastewater solutions.
